Board & Train gives your dog structured, daily training in a consistent environment, then hands the work back to you. It is built for dogs whose habits are hard to interrupt inside the normal rhythm of the household, and for owners who want a strong reset followed by clear coaching.
It is not a drop-off fix. What your dog learns has to be maintained by the people at home, which is why the handoff is part of the program rather than an extra.

Where the Dog Stays
Dogs in the program stay in CJ's care, with safe, supervised overnight boarding handled by Uppity Pet Salon & Resort, a trusted local boarding partner. CJ handles all of the training himself. There is nowhere for the public to visit, and nothing about the program happens at a customer-facing location.

Owner Handoff and Follow-Through
A dog can leave the program doing beautiful work and lose it in two weeks if nothing changes at home. Handler transfer sessions are part of the program, not an add-on. You learn the words, the timing and the expectations so the dog keeps the habits it built.
Everyone who handles the dog is encouraged to take part. One person using the new rules and three people ignoring them is the most common reason progress fades.
Suitability and Safety Screening
Not every dog qualifies. Suitability depends on the dog's behavior history, health, safety considerations for the dog and the people handling it, and current program availability.
CJ asks about bite history, medical issues, medication, how the dog behaves around other dogs and people, and what has already been tried. Where a dog's needs fall outside what this program can responsibly cover, CJ will tell you plainly and may recommend in-home coaching, veterinary input or another qualified professional instead.

Board & Train availability is limited and capacity based. CJ confirms fit and timing before anything is scheduled.

- What happens if the training does not hold at home?
- That is what the handoff sessions are for. If a behavior slips, tell CJ what changed. Most setbacks come from a routine or rule that quietly relaxed at home, not from the dog forgetting.
