Safety First

Private Help for Reactive and Aggressive Dogs

When a dog lunges, growls, snaps, bites, or becomes overwhelmed, owners often feel embarrassed, isolated, or afraid of making the wrong move. The first priority is safety, not judgment. CJ begins by learning the dog's history, triggers, environment, and the situations you need help managing.

Behavior This Service May Address

  • Leash reactivity toward dogs or people
  • Growling, snapping, or biting history
  • Territorial behavior at home
  • Resource guarding
  • Fear-based defensive behavior
  • Conflict between dogs in the household
  • Overarousal that becomes difficult to control

What to Expect

Suitability and next steps are discussed before training begins. CJ may recommend management changes, equipment preparation, veterinary input, or collaboration with another qualified professional when the dog's safety needs fall outside the appropriate scope of the service. No website can promise an outcome for every dog. CJ will give you an honest assessment and a practical direction.

Safety note

If there is an immediate risk of injury, separate people and animals safely and contact an emergency veterinarian or local emergency service as appropriate.

When an Immersive Reset Makes More Sense

Some reactive dogs are difficult for an owner to practice with safely at first, or the daily routine at home keeps rehearsing the behavior. In those cases CJ may suggest the Board & Train program so the dog gets consistent daily work first, followed by handoff sessions that teach you how to handle the dog yourself.

This is a case-by-case decision, not an automatic recommendation. Suitability still depends on the dog's behavior history, health, safety and current program availability.
